Desire Lines - Deerhunter

mrtilleysmusicplay

This is easily one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time. This song is 6 minutes and 44 seconds long, and it's just breathtaking from start to finish.

The song starts off slow and gradually builds into a catchy chorus, followed by a breathtaking rhythmic, guitar-driven outro. It's simply awe-inspiring. "Desire Lines" is from the band's 5th album, Halcyon Digest, and it was the last album to feature bassist Josh Fauver before he left the group.

The song starts off slow and gradually builds up a sense of atmosphere for around 3 minutes, and then it just explodes into this hypnotic repetition of guitar riffs that carries on until the end of the song. The sound builds and builds, getting heavier and louder, and it fades out beautifully. You'll never want the outro to end. This song takes you on an incredible journey, and it's a real songasm of bliss. It's just amazing, amazing, amazing!
